THE SMALL PRINT
Security Deposit: We
ask for a security deposit, in cash please, of £50.
This is returned in full provided the boat is returned on time,
undamaged and reasonably clean.
Hire Duration is usually 9.30am to 7.00pm or dusk, unless agreed
otherwise.
Late return: for every 30 minutes late the boat is returned, we can deduct £10
from the security deposit.

The
Boat will be supplied in a clean and tidy condition and we expect
it to be returned similarly.
We will make a charge if the boat is returned particularly dirty.

|
We
will ensure that the boat is in good working order and a breakdown
is unlikely but not impossible. In this event we will endeavour to
fix the problem as soon as possible however if the problem is
terminal then we will offer you an alternative day or part thereof.
|
|
In
the event of the boat being unavailable on the hire day due to
circumstances beyond our control our liability is restricted to
the return of any monies paid or the offer of an alternative date.
|
|
It
is your responsibility to operate the vessel in a safe and sober
manner and to show consideration to other canal users. Be extra
vigilant when using locks.
If we receive more than one call informing of inconsiderate
or improper boat operation, we reserve the right to make a
deduction from your deposit.

| We
reserve the right to refuse to hand over the boat to any
person who in our opinion is not suitable. |
|
Hirers must be
over 18.
If your 12 year old son/daughter is the best driver in your party,
please don't let us see him her her driving.
|
|
While the boat
is moving, no one must be on the roof or the fore deck.
|
No
more than 12 persons may be on the boat, and the weight must be
sensibly distributed across the boat.
|
CANCELLATION:
If you need to cancel your booking please try to let us know as early as
possible.
If the boat is rebooked, we will give you a full refund.
If the boat is not re-booked if you give us at least 7 days notice
of your cancellation we will return 75% of your booking fee.
If you give us less than 7 days notice of cancellation, we reserve
the right to not make any refund. |
INSURANCE:
Insurance of the boat, its equipment and third party liability is
included in the hire charge, but the hirer is responsible for the
first £50 of any claim. |
ACCIDENTS:
The hirer is responsible for the safe and sensible handling
of the boat.
Full instruction is given. Any accidents to the boat,
waterway property, or to any other boat, property or person, must
be reported to us
PAYMENT: You can pay by Credit/Debit card, Cash or Cheque.
We only have facilities to take credit card payments via the
internet using 'Paypal'. |
